Vaccinations – Really Good Reasons To Get Them

1. Vaccinations – what the World Health Organisation has to say about them

There is arguably no single preventive health intervention more cost-effective than immunization. Time and again, the international community has endorsed the value of vaccines and immunization to prevent and control a large number of infectious diseases and increasingly, several chronic diseases  caused by infectious agents.

2. Immunisation saves lives

An immunisation can mean the difference between life and death. Immunisation currently prevents 2-3 million deaths every year. However,  an improvement in global vaccination coverage  could prevent an additional 1.5 million deaths.
