5. Potato Side Dish For Salmon
You Will Need:
4 large potatoes
3 tbsp unsalted white butter
100ml water
How To Make:
Peel the potato and cut them evenly into 1.5 inch wedges.
Toss them into a frying pan and add water.
Cook them on high flame until the potatoes are boiled completely and the water has evaporated.
Switch to low heat and add unsalted white butter.
Cook slowly, for about 30 minutes or until the potatoes turn slightly golden brown.
Serve hot.
6. Potato Side Dish For Ham
You Will Need:
4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp butter
1 ½ cups milk
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
½ cup grated cheese for dressing on top
How To Make:
Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in the flour. Let it sit for a minute.
Add the milk to this mixture as you whisk it. Add salt and cayenne pepper to season it, and whisk again.
Cook this sauce on low flame to a boil, stirring it occasionally.
Reduce the heat further and stir in the cup of cheddar cheese, until it melts.
In a slightly greased casserole dish, place half of the potatoes and pour half of the cheese sauce over it. Place the other half over it and pour the remaining sauce over the potatoes.
Sprinkle it with cheese and season with paprika.
Bake the potatoes at 350 degrees F, for an hour.
Serve when ready.
