8. Goitrogens:
Certain foods, when consumed raw, can suppress the functioning of the thyroid gland by interfering in the uptake of iodine. It can be detrimental for your baby’s health as thyroid functioning is pivotal for proper mental and physical growth. Therefore, avoid serving raw cabbage to your baby. However the benefits may outweigh the potential side effects of goitrogens.
